About Choices  In architecture, a keystone is the central wedge-shaped stone of an arch that locks the parts together into a whole, creating a central source of support and stability.
Much like a keystone, CHOICES AZ, Inc. is a central source of support and stability for the people who are, in turn, the keystones of our quad-city communities -- the police officers, teachers, healthcare workers, municipal workers, sales people, and office clerks we all depend on every day. Using a variety of innovative and cost effective development and financing strategies, CHOICES is working to make it possible for this workforce to achieve the dream of home ownership in the communities they serve.
CHOICES AZ, Inc. formed for the purpose of assisting moderate-income families to become first-time homebuyers. To do this, CHOICES is developing entry-level housing and assisting families to overcome barriers to ownership. As a nonprofit organization, CHOICES AZ, Inc. is able to offset the buyer’s housing costs through more favorable interest rates and homebuyer assistance programs. To assure stability of homeownership, CHOICES offers ongoing support to homeowners through individual financial management counseling. The sustainability of the neighborhood is assured by the creation of a viable homeowners’ association to which CHOICES will remain committed in an advisory capacity as long as needed.
The need for quality entry-level housing in the quad-city area has never been more urgent – or more solvable. Through CHOICES AZ, Inc.’s efforts, more families will be able to own decent homes close to their workplace, close to schools and services in attractive, well-maintained neighborhoods that enhance our communities. |
